Science: Zoology: Sea Sponges

Most sponges live in sea water (marine), but some live in freshwater (aquatic). Most sponges attach to rocks. They do not have digestive, circulatory, or nervous system organs. They rely on water to flow through their bodies to distribute food and oxygen and to remove wastes. Most sponges are hermaphrodites (both male and female).
