Science: Zoology: Giant Squid

Two giant Pacific squid washed ashore in Puget Sound.

Also, a giant Humboldt squid was caught off the shore of West Seattle. It was more than 8 feet long and about 100 pounds.

Cephalopod: A member of the marine mollusk family, including octopus, squid, cuttlefish, and nautilus. They have a large head, large eyes, prehensile (grasping) tentacles, and in most species, an ink sac.
