Lammas, Lughnassadh, Lugnasad, August 1st or 2nd:

Lammas ("loaf mass") celebrates the first grain harvest. It's the feast of bread.

August is the sacred month of Lugh, the Great Celtic Sun King, the God of Light.

At Lammas, the Goddess is in her aspect as the Grain Mother.

The Sun God, Lugh, is the living spirit of the grain.
